[The Story of the Pingguoyuan Lineage]

The Pingguoyuan variety, translated as the "Apple Orchard," is a legendary lineage highly celebrated within traditional wood-bone collecting circles for possessing one of the most comfortable, fluid architectures in the entire hobby. It earns its descriptive name from its remarkably rounded, dropped shoulders and full, plump bellies that naturally mirror the organic geometry of a ripening winter apple.

In traditional heritage storytelling, this beautifully full, smooth-rolling silhouette serves as an auspicious symbol of peaceful transitions, safe journeys, and a steadily grounded spirit. Sourced from historic wild northern groves, this lineage is prized for its exceptionally high material fiber density and thick internal chamber walls. It carries an exceptional hand-weight relative to its tiny footprint and responds beautifully to bare-hand handling, slowly shifting from a warm golden-tan into a deep, translucent crimson patina over a dedicated handling journey.

[Product Characteristics of PGY-1101]

  • Nimble 33mm Pocket Posture: Measuring 33.0mm across the primary wide horizontal edges paired with a close 32.0mm depth across the bellies. This subtle 1mm structural compression yields a highly balanced, rounded profile. Scaled intentionally for nimble fingertip manipulation, its compact format ensures the pair tracks along a perfectly fluid circular path without catching or jamming.
  • Flowing Ribbon & Fine Ripple Topography: True to its lineage pedigree, the exterior shell is sculpted with a masterfully balanced network of deep vertical channels, fine fluid folds, and crisp natural fissures as showcased across "1_7.jpg", "2_5.jpg", and "3_16.jpg". This detailed relief completely avoids sharp spikes or fragile nodes, providing excellent non-slip traction against the skin while delivering a relaxing micro-massage to fingertip pressure points.
  • Broad Flared Borders & Stable Basal Layout: Each piece features a beautifully expansive, flat bottom layout with a clean, neatly centered navel that allows them to stand upright on flat surfaces. The main vertical centerline seams run exceptionally straight from the top apex down to the base, ensuring great tracking stability and a perfectly balanced distribution of its heavy unit mass during fast handling.
  • High-Density Wood-Bone Acoustics: Sourced from fully ripened wild heritage lines, this pair carries significant physical weight relative to its pocket-sized footprint due to extra-thick internal wood-bone walls. When rotated or twisted past one another, the mature material produces a sharp, clean wooden click.

[Maintenance Advice]

Because the "Pingguoyuan" lineage features a highly responsive shell structure with an intricate network of flowing surface valleys, it is recommended to keep this pair in a sealed bag when resting between handling sessions for the first month. This practice traps natural skin lipids to guide a uniform, blotch-free oxidation process across both the prominent ridges and deep recesses. Handling them directly with bare hands—completely skipping the use of gloves—is the most effective way to naturally develop a deep, high-gloss patina over time.

You are easy to work with and are great communication.

Incredible service, I ordered a pair that sadly could not be shipped on account of a website error. Normally that would be a red flag; in this case however, an agent reached out to me immediately, allowed me to pick out an even higher quality pair and included some very thoughtful gifts. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and what started out as a mistake will have me returning here first whenever I want to expand my collection.

Class acts!

I ordered my Wenwans about 13 days ago. After contacting this company about a shipping issue they were able to solve it immediately as well as to rush the order. Literally just got mine today and they are absolutely gorgeous and very large! My Pair# is DGM-901. These are my very first high grades ones. Bought some crappy amazon ones for like 6 bucks to practice. I cannot wait to start my journey with these. I highly recommend this company for their outstanding customer service and quality control!

Thank you!

This company is Stellar. I’ve enjoyed the products I’ve Boughten for myself and gifts Ives given.

These guys a great. Walnuts are high quality, and what you see is what you get, no random pairs that you may not like.
I've got 5 pairs off of them so far, and none have any flaws: no yellowing, pin holes, worm marks or cracks.
I'm not an expert, but I can't detect any dyes or processing on the nuts I have received.
They get back to you quickly if you have questions or issues.

Shipping is a couple weeks to canada since its off shore orgin. No big deal.

I do wish they would post the weights of the pairs as well in the listings, but this is minor.

I consider Zenwalnut to be the best north american walnut vendor hands down.

Good

The box it came with is great and well made. The walnuts are out of this world. I don’t know how you find a three ridge mutation (Spartan motif) with such a good pairing. Even the basins complement each other, one elavated and the other depressed so they fit together. I highly recommend this seller if you want a reliable place where you can find rare, high quality walnuts. What you see in the pictures and videos is what you get. These are my second pair from zenwalnuts and I love both of them, thank you

The first pair I bought was a pair of minis, Packaging was amazing! Display case, and brushes were all under $100. I've been using them for just over a week. Excellent quality, I have dropped them once on accident of course over concrete while outside on the patio. I was quite concerned, I gave them a look over and no cracks, chips, or scratches were found. I am now looking into higher valued pairs. I will be buying other pairs for birthday gifts and collections. I posted them on FB and will continue to keep updates of the transformation every so often.
