North China General-Shoulder “Tian Can Jiao” Wenwan Walnut Pair | 38.0mm x 37.0mm | HBJJTCJ-C1E1E

Product Description

This single-inventory listing features the exact pair of Wenwan walnuts shown in the product gallery. Carrying the stock ID HBJJTCJ-C1E1E, this pair combines the broad North China General-Shoulder structure with a naturally irregular Tian Can Jiao form.

Measuring approximately 38.0mm x 37.0mm, the pair has an unusually broad, compressed silhouette. From the side, the shells show prominent projecting wings and a strongly layered body, while the frontal profile is dense and heavily textured.

What makes this pair especially distinctive is its naturally unconventional structure. Rather than following the symmetrical, upright proportions of a standard General-Shoulder walnut, both pieces develop irregular lower contours and exaggerated structural folds. The result is a pair with a rugged, sculptural appearance and a strong sense of individuality.

Despite the unusual form, the two walnuts correspond closely in overall scale, body width, wing development, and visual character, creating a convincing collectible pairing.

The pair has been pre-cleaned and base-brushed for international shipping.

The Story of the Form

The General-Shoulder family is recognized for its broad lateral structure and strong outward extension around the waist of the walnut.

This particular pair departs dramatically from the conventional form. Its naturally irregular lower development creates the characteristic Tian Can Jiao appearance—a collector term used for walnuts whose growth produces an unconventional, incomplete, or highly asymmetrical structural feature.

Rather than reducing its appeal, this irregularity is the central character of the pair.

Seen from different angles, the walnuts shift between a broad horizontal silhouette and a deeply folded, almost sculptural frontal profile. The large wings, compressed body, and irregular lower structure give the pair a distinctly unconventional presence.

For collectors of unusual natural formations, this is a pair defined less by conventional symmetry and more by individuality.

Product Characteristics

• Rare natural form: Distinctive Tian Can Jiao structural irregularity.
• Broad General-Shoulder profile: Strong lateral wings create a wide silhouette.
• Compact proportions: 38 × 37mm dimensions keep the pair substantial without becoming oversized.
• Deep sculptural texture: Layered ridges and recesses create strong visual depth.
• Low, compressed body: Produces a powerful and unconventional stance.
• Natural asymmetry: Each walnut retains its individual growth pattern.
• Strong pair relationship: Similar proportions and structural character make the two pieces visually coherent.
• Collector-oriented appearance: Particularly suited to collectors interested in unusual Wenwan morphology and naturally occurring forms.

Care

These walnuts have already been pre-cleaned and base-brushed.

During the first month, keep them in a sealed bag when not being handled so they can gradually acclimatize to your local environment.

Handle with clean, dry hands and brush regularly with a clean Wenwan brush.

Avoid water, oil, direct sunlight, heaters, air-conditioning vents, and sudden changes in temperature or humidity.

Because of the pair’s deep folds and irregular structure, use a soft brush to clean recessed areas rather than forcing debris out with hard or sharp tools.
