About the Variety

known within the traditional Wenwan walnut hobby, the Blood Kylin lineage is known for its armor-like rind structure and aging properties.

• The "Kylin Scale" Texture Matrix: The defining characteristic of this lineage is its micro-scale nodules and deeply chiseled, compact wrinkles that blanket the shell to form a dense, armor-like grid pattern.
• Commanding Palm Presence: This variety naturally restricts excess vertical growth, concentrating its old-growth wood mass horizontally to minimize empty internal cavity space. The flat base foundation combined with aggressive, craggy contours offers substantial physical presence, turning leverage, and crisp tactile feedback across the palm during daily single-handed rotation and sensory meditation.

This single-inventory listing features the exact pair of Wenwan walnuts shown in the product gallery. Carrying the unique stock ID XQL-1401, this collector's set belongs to the "Blood Kylin" (Xueqilin) lineage. It is highly within the traditional hobby for its exceptionally dense, scale-like rinds and a legendary wood composition that ages into a strikingly deep, rich color profile.

Measuring 38.0mm in width and a beautifully compressed 39.0mm in height, this pair showcases a, low vertical profile. They feature dramatic dropped shoulders, a flat foundation base, and an intricately layered honeycomb texture matrix. The pair has been fully cured, meticulously cleaned, and precision-brushed, making it entirely ready for immediate international shipping.

Key Characteristics of XQL-1401

• 38mm Agile Compressed Frame: Measuring 38.0mm in width and a squatted 39.0mm in height, this pair presents a highly nimble, compact stance that rests comfortably and securely in the hand for active daily play (pan).
• Proportional Shape Match: The two independent walnuts show fantastic morphological pairing, mirroring each other with powerful dropped shoulders, uniform outer side profiles, and closely coordinated main ridge paths.
• Symmetrical Grid Alignment: From both top-down and profile perspectives, the set highlights highly consistent central main ridge tracks, uniform outer rind thickness, and beautifully aligned center pathways running across both shells.
• High Bone Density Wild Timber: Hard-grown from wild mountain orchards, the extra-thick rinds possess organic density, generating a clear, solid, porcelain-like acoustic ring during manual rotation.

Care & Aging Info

This collectible variety is grown strictly for hand-play (pan) and is completely distinct from common edible food variants. Through regular handling with clean, bare hands, the high-density wood grain steadily absorbs natural skin oils.

Over time, this natural interaction causes the initial ginger-caramel wood tones to transform into an exceptionally deep, glossy, translucent red-brown patina that gives the "Blood Kylin" its legendary name. Because the signature kylin-scale texture paths and deep craggy channels are exceptionally complex, it is highly recommended to brush the crevices thoroughly with a standard bristle brush after each handling session to keep the valleys immaculate.
