This single-inventory listing features the exact, collector-grade pair of Wenwan walnuts shown in the product gallery. Carrying the unique stock ID NJS-1505C, this S-tier set showcases the incredibly rare "Tri-Rib" (Sanjiao ) genetic mutation of the historic "Nanjiangshi" lineage. Highly sought after by advanced enthusiasts, this master-tier set is prized for its exceptional three-sided symmetry, extreme bone density, and unique physical geometry that elevates both its visual collectibility and palm rotation tactile experience.

Measuring a substantial 41.0mm in width and a compressed 40.0mm in height, this pair achieves a beautifully balanced, nearly 1:1 squatted profile. They feature thick dropped shoulders, three perfectly balanced side ridges, and a deeply chiseled flowing wrinkle pattern. The entire set has been fully cured, carefully cleaned, and seasoned, making it completely ready for immediate international shipping.

  • Grade: S-Tier Premium Selection

About the Tri-Rib Nanjiangshi Mutation

Revered as an elite prize within the traditional Wenwan walnut culture, the wild-grown Nanjiangshi lineage is celebrated for its tank-like structural hardness, while the Sanjiao (Tri-Rib) mutation represents one of the most difficult natural variations to pair in the entire hobby.

  • Triangular Symmetry: While standard walnuts grow with two main ridges, this ultra-rare mutation naturally develops three perfectly formed, symmetrical ridges. When viewed from above or below, they form a striking, geometric triangular star shape.
  • Commanding Tactile Presence: The three-pointed architecture naturally eliminates empty internal cavity space, resulting in exceptionally thick shells. The triple-ridge pattern offers incredible turning leverage, satisfying hand weight, and unique acupressure feedback across the palm during daily sensory meditation.

Key Characteristics of NJS-1505C

  • 41mm Compact, Squatted Frame: Standing at an agile 40.0mm height and a broad 41.0mm width, this pair presents a highly nimble, heavy stance that allows for exceptionally comfortable and fluid single-handed rotation (pan).
  • Phenomenal Morphological Matching: Finding a single three-sided wild walnut is rare, but coordinating a matched pair with synchronized ridge lines and matching proportions at 41mm is an extraordinary feat. Both pieces mirror each other beautifully with uniform side thicknesses and matching three-pointed profiles.
  • Symmetrical Ridge Alignment: From both top-down and baseline perspectives, the set highlights remarkably straight, cleanly centered main ridge tracks that split into three beautifully balanced pathways running across both rinds.
  • Iron Bone Density Wild Timber: Hard-grown in remote northern mountain orchards, the extra-thick shells possess superior organic density. When rolled against one another in the palm, they generate a crisp, clear, porcelain-like acoustic chime that is the signature of premium old-growth Nanjiangshi timber.

Care & Aging Info

Grown strictly for art, collection, and hand-play (pan), these walnuts are entirely distinct from common edible variants. Through regular handling with clean, bare hands, the ultra-dense wood grain steadily absorbs natural skin oils.

The Nanjiangshi variety is famous for its slow, deeply rewarding color transformation. Over time, this natural interaction causes the initial ginger-clay wood tones to turn into a deeply translucent, glossy, jewel-like mahogany-red patina.

Pro-Maintenance Tip: To accelerate the color transformation process and ensure an even, radiant luster, avoid wearing gloves during play. Instead, handle them with clean, bare hands, and always place your walnuts back into an airtight seal bag when they are not being played with. Regular brushing of the crevices with a standard bristle brush is highly recommended to keep the valleys immaculate.

You are easy to work with and are great communication.

Incredible service, I ordered a pair that sadly could not be shipped on account of a website error. Normally that would be a red flag; in this case however, an agent reached out to me immediately, allowed me to pick out an even higher quality pair and included some very thoughtful gifts. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and what started out as a mistake will have me returning here first whenever I want to expand my collection.

Class acts!

I ordered my Wenwans about 13 days ago. After contacting this company about a shipping issue they were able to solve it immediately as well as to rush the order. Literally just got mine today and they are absolutely gorgeous and very large! My Pair# is DGM-901. These are my very first high grades ones. Bought some crappy amazon ones for like 6 bucks to practice. I cannot wait to start my journey with these. I highly recommend this company for their outstanding customer service and quality control!

Thank you!

This company is Stellar. I’ve enjoyed the products I’ve Boughten for myself and gifts Ives given.

These guys a great. Walnuts are high quality, and what you see is what you get, no random pairs that you may not like.
I've got 5 pairs off of them so far, and none have any flaws: no yellowing, pin holes, worm marks or cracks.
I'm not an expert, but I can't detect any dyes or processing on the nuts I have received.
They get back to you quickly if you have questions or issues.

Shipping is a couple weeks to canada since its off shore orgin. No big deal.

I do wish they would post the weights of the pairs as well in the listings, but this is minor.

I consider Zenwalnut to be the best north american walnut vendor hands down.

Good

The box it came with is great and well made. The walnuts are out of this world. I don’t know how you find a three ridge mutation (Spartan motif) with such a good pairing. Even the basins complement each other, one elavated and the other depressed so they fit together. I highly recommend this seller if you want a reliable place where you can find rare, high quality walnuts. What you see in the pictures and videos is what you get. These are my second pair from zenwalnuts and I love both of them, thank you

The first pair I bought was a pair of minis, Packaging was amazing! Display case, and brushes were all under $100. I've been using them for just over a week. Excellent quality, I have dropped them once on accident of course over concrete while outside on the patio. I was quite concerned, I gave them a look over and no cracks, chips, or scratches were found. I am now looking into higher valued pairs. I will be buying other pairs for birthday gifts and collections. I posted them on FB and will continue to keep updates of the transformation every so often.
