“Spherical White Lion” Bai Shizi Wenwan Walnut Pair | 39.0mm × 40.0mm | QXBSJ-1509C

Product Description

This single-inventory listing features the exact pair of Wenwan walnuts shown in the product gallery.

Stock ID QXBSJ-1509C measures 39.0mm × 40.0mm. This pair belongs to the Bai Shizi (White Lion) family and is distinguished by its unusually rounded, nearly spherical body, broad shoulders, compact proportions, and substantial central ridges.

Unlike the more elongated White Lion forms, this pair carries its volume outward. The height and width are almost equal, giving both walnuts a full, dense appearance in the hand. Their broad sidewalls curve smoothly around the body while the central ridge remains clearly defined, creating a strong sense of structure without making the pair look overly tall.

The texture is moderately deep and naturally layered, combining broad raised ridges with recessed valleys. The overall form is compact, balanced, and highly recognizable.

The Story of the Form

The Bai Shizi, or White Lion, is appreciated for its broad structure, substantial body and balanced proportions. This pair takes those familiar characteristics in a particularly rounded direction.

At 39.0mm × 40.0mm, the width slightly exceeds the height, producing a distinctly compact and almost spherical silhouette. Viewed from the front, the walnuts appear broad and full rather than tall, while the shoulders wrap naturally around the central face.

The central ridges are strong and clearly defined, giving the pair structural presence. Around them, the texture develops into irregular raised folds and recessed channels, creating visual depth while maintaining the solid overall body characteristic of the White Lion form.

What makes this pair especially appealing is its volume-to-size ratio. Although it sits around the 40mm range, the rounded profile gives it the visual mass and palm presence of a much fuller walnut.

Product Characteristics

Near-Spherical Proportions
With dimensions of 39.0mm × 40.0mm, the pair has unusually balanced height and width, creating a compact, ball-like profile.

Broad White Lion Structure
The body maintains the strong shoulders and substantial sidewalls associated with Bai Shizi walnuts.

Prominent Central Ridges
Both walnuts display thick, clearly developed main ridges running through the center of the face.

Full Palm Presence
The rounded body concentrates considerable visual volume into a relatively manageable size.

Layered Natural Texture
Raised folds, valleys and irregular surface structures give the pair dimensionality without appearing excessively sharp.

Balanced Pairing
The two walnuts coordinate particularly well in overall volume, height, width, shoulder structure and texture density.

Care

Keep the walnuts dry and avoid sudden changes in temperature or humidity.

For regular maintenance, use a clean Wenwan brush to remove dust from the recessed texture and around the central ridges. Consistent dry brushing helps maintain a clean surface as the walnuts gradually develop their natural color and patina.

Avoid soaking, chemical cleaners and excessive oiling.
