  • Stock: 1 of 1 (Single Inventory / Collector Grade)

  • Weight: 44g (Combined Heavy Mass)

[About the Butterfly Millstone Variety]

The Hudie Mo Pan variety is historically celebrated as one of the most structurally majestic lineages within classic scholar walnut culture. It earns its descriptive name from its distinctive, flared multi-axis geometry: the raw shell forms highly dropped, squared shoulders, a dramatically shortened vertical axis, and expansive side rims that sweeping outwards like a butterfly opening its wings (Hu Die Bian). This specific profile is highly favored by advanced collectors for its ability to provide a massively substantive, palm-filling volume while remaining completely effortless to twirl without catching.

[Product Characteristics of MP-1351C]

  • The Commanding Giant 46mm Low-Profile Stance: Measuring 46.0mm across the primary wide borders paired with a compressed 40.0mm height profile. This deliberate horizontal expansion gives the pair an impressive low-slung stance. The wide 46mm footprint stretches across the fingers to provide excellent physical leverage, while the flat 40mm depth allows the shells to slide seamlessly over one another without catching during rapid rotation.
  • 44 Grams of Solid Iron-Bone Mass: Grown to full wild maturity with extra-thick internal chamber walls, this pair carries an immense 44g physical weight relative to its compressed footprint. When rotated past one another, the mature bone-dense material produces a sharp, high-pitched metallic ceramic click rather than a dull wooden clack.
  • Flowing, Non-Aggressive Ribbon Topography: True to its premium pedigree, the exterior showcases a masterfully balanced network of broad, fluid vertical folds and clear, open natural valleys. This organic texture completely avoids sharp spikes or fragile nodes, offering steady non-slip friction against the skin while delivering a relaxing, thorough hand massage.
  • Thick Prominent Ingot Borders & Stable Base: Each piece features an incredibly thick, flared side border that wraps tightly down to a wide, flat bottom layout with a slightly recessed central navel. This architectural base allows each piece to stand perfectly stable on flat surfaces, ensuring an exceptionally balanced distribution of its heavy unit mass.

[Maintenance & Aging Advice]

Because the "Hudie Mo Pan" lineage features an exceptionally high shell density and an intricate matrix of valleys around its compressed base, it is highly recommended to keep this pair in a sealed bag when resting between handling sessions for the first month. This practice safely traps natural skin oils to guide a uniform, blotch-free oxidation process across both the prominent ridges and deep valleys. Handling them directly with bare hands—completely avoiding the use of gloves—is the definitive method to naturally guide them toward a deep, high-gloss translucent crimson patina over time.

You are easy to work with and are great communication.

Incredible service, I ordered a pair that sadly could not be shipped on account of a website error. Normally that would be a red flag; in this case however, an agent reached out to me immediately, allowed me to pick out an even higher quality pair and included some very thoughtful gifts. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and what started out as a mistake will have me returning here first whenever I want to expand my collection.

Class acts!

I ordered my Wenwans about 13 days ago. After contacting this company about a shipping issue they were able to solve it immediately as well as to rush the order. Literally just got mine today and they are absolutely gorgeous and very large! My Pair# is DGM-901. These are my very first high grades ones. Bought some crappy amazon ones for like 6 bucks to practice. I cannot wait to start my journey with these. I highly recommend this company for their outstanding customer service and quality control!

Thank you!

This company is Stellar. I’ve enjoyed the products I’ve Boughten for myself and gifts Ives given.

These guys a great. Walnuts are high quality, and what you see is what you get, no random pairs that you may not like.
I've got 5 pairs off of them so far, and none have any flaws: no yellowing, pin holes, worm marks or cracks.
I'm not an expert, but I can't detect any dyes or processing on the nuts I have received.
They get back to you quickly if you have questions or issues.

Shipping is a couple weeks to canada since its off shore orgin. No big deal.

I do wish they would post the weights of the pairs as well in the listings, but this is minor.

I consider Zenwalnut to be the best north american walnut vendor hands down.

Good

The box it came with is great and well made. The walnuts are out of this world. I don’t know how you find a three ridge mutation (Spartan motif) with such a good pairing. Even the basins complement each other, one elavated and the other depressed so they fit together. I highly recommend this seller if you want a reliable place where you can find rare, high quality walnuts. What you see in the pictures and videos is what you get. These are my second pair from zenwalnuts and I love both of them, thank you

The first pair I bought was a pair of minis, Packaging was amazing! Display case, and brushes were all under $100. I've been using them for just over a week. Excellent quality, I have dropped them once on accident of course over concrete while outside on the patio. I was quite concerned, I gave them a look over and no cracks, chips, or scratches were found. I am now looking into higher valued pairs. I will be buying other pairs for birthday gifts and collections. I posted them on FB and will continue to keep updates of the transformation every so often.
