[About the Wild Mo Pan Variety]

Named "Mo Pan" (Grinding Stone) for its flat-topped, disk-like shape that resembles an ancient stone mill, this variety is a timeless favorite among traditional walnut connoisseurs. Originating from high-density wild trees, wild Mo Pan walnuts are characterized by their compact vertical stature, broad belly, and deeply furrowed, labyrinthine texture. Renowned for their heavy, solid feel in the palm and crisp resonance during rotation, wild Mo Pan walnuts age beautifully into a deep, translucent oxblood-red luster.

[Characteristics of MP-1113]

  • 44.0mm x 39.0mm Dwarf Mo Pan Ratio: Features a wide 44mm belly paired with a low 39mm height, delivering the classic flat-topped "millstone" silhouette that fits comfortably in the palm.
  • Intricate Labyrinth Grain: Covered in tight, interlocking vertical grooves and deep pits that offer excellent tactile feedback and hand acupressure.
  • Symmetrical Edges & Broad Foundation: Thick, straight side ridges extend horizontally, leading down to a wide, flat base for rock-solid display stability.
  • Dense Wild Timber Shell: Harvested from mature wild trees, providing high hardiness, crisp acoustic ring, and long-term resistance to wear.

[Basic Care & Aging Info]

This collectible pair is grown strictly for hand-play (pan) and mindfulness practice, completely distinct from edible walnut varieties. Regular handling allows natural skin oils to absorb into the dense wood rind.

Artisan Coloration Tip: Brush daily with a firm bristle brush to clean deep crevices and distribute natural skin oils evenly. When not in use, store in an airtight bag or display casing to protect against sudden humidity changes and promote a deep, translucent patina.

You are easy to work with and are great communication.

Incredible service, I ordered a pair that sadly could not be shipped on account of a website error. Normally that would be a red flag; in this case however, an agent reached out to me immediately, allowed me to pick out an even higher quality pair and included some very thoughtful gifts. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and what started out as a mistake will have me returning here first whenever I want to expand my collection.

Class acts!

I ordered my Wenwans about 13 days ago. After contacting this company about a shipping issue they were able to solve it immediately as well as to rush the order. Literally just got mine today and they are absolutely gorgeous and very large! My Pair# is DGM-901. These are my very first high grades ones. Bought some crappy amazon ones for like 6 bucks to practice. I cannot wait to start my journey with these. I highly recommend this company for their outstanding customer service and quality control!

Thank you!

These guys a great. Walnuts are high quality, and what you see is what you get, no random pairs that you may not like.
I've got 5 pairs off of them so far, and none have any flaws: no yellowing, pin holes, worm marks or cracks.
I'm not an expert, but I can't detect any dyes or processing on the nuts I have received.
They get back to you quickly if you have questions or issues.

Shipping is a couple weeks to canada since its off shore orgin. No big deal.

I do wish they would post the weights of the pairs as well in the listings, but this is minor.

I consider Zenwalnut to be the best north american walnut vendor hands down.

Good

The box it came with is great and well made. The walnuts are out of this world. I don’t know how you find a three ridge mutation (Spartan motif) with such a good pairing. Even the basins complement each other, one elavated and the other depressed so they fit together. I highly recommend this seller if you want a reliable place where you can find rare, high quality walnuts. What you see in the pictures and videos is what you get. These are my second pair from zenwalnuts and I love both of them, thank you

The first pair I bought was a pair of minis, Packaging was amazing! Display case, and brushes were all under $100. I've been using them for just over a week. Excellent quality, I have dropped them once on accident of course over concrete while outside on the patio. I was quite concerned, I gave them a look over and no cracks, chips, or scratches were found. I am now looking into higher valued pairs. I will be buying other pairs for birthday gifts and collections. I posted them on FB and will continue to keep updates of the transformation every so often.
